Rick is a amateur photographer living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
He is inspired by many things, often spontaneously, ranging from surfing photography & landscape to abstract, portraits & cityscapes. You'll rarely find him without his Canon 7D by his side, ready to capture whatever comes his way.
Rick's favorite technique is shooting wide open with fast aperture lenses, focusing the attention on his subject with very shallow depth of field. His most frequently used lens is a Canon 28-70 f/2.8 L but prefers the creativity afforded by the additional focal length of the 70-200 f/2.8 L.
He keeps a photography related blog called Life's a Bokeh. The word "Bokeh" refers to the pleasing blur or quality of out of focus areas of a photograph.
